About Hidden Owl
Richard
Levine has a varied background in media, both print and visual. He earned the
1989 Charlie Award (first place), for Best Feature Article from the
Florida Magazine
Association, and First Runner Up in the North Florida Corbomite Players
play writing contest. He wrote the short film Moon Light, which was shown at
the Florida Theatre in 2004; and wrote and co-produced
A Riverside Evening,
screened by the prestigious
Desert Film
Society in Palm Springs, California. He coauthored the book:
Wise Practice:
Affective Education in the Inner City, a story of teaching and potential;
Smoke and Mirrors:
Making the Transformation to nonsmoker a Path of Spiritual and Personal Growth;
and designed and published Saturday at 2.
As a result of frustrating experiences with an online POD pseudo-publishing mill, Richard Levine created his own imprint, Hidden Owl Books. His consulting services--including writing, editing, book preparation (Framemaker software), and video--now fall under the umbrella of Hidden Owl Media and Services.
He is President of North Florida Writers and a board member of the Jacksonville Chapter of the Florida Motion Picture & Television Association.
